Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. Who we are
In this Privacy Notice, “we”, “us” and “our” mean VJ Digital Growth Partner operating under Build ALONG The Way. We provide digital growth, marketing, advertising, search, content, website, analytics, automation and related consultancy services.
For most of the personal information described in this Notice, we act as controller. Where we process personal information solely on behalf of a client and on that client’s documented instructions, we generally act as processor.
Privacy contact: please use our website contact form. Postal address: 4th Floor, 18 St. Cross Street, London, EC1N 8UN.
2. Scope of this Notice
This Notice explains how we use personal information relating to website visitors, people who contact us, prospective and current clients, client personnel, suppliers, contractors, business partners, marketing recipients, event attendees and job applicants where applicable.
It does not normally explain processing we carry out solely on behalf of a client as processor. In that situation the client is normally responsible for telling individuals how their information is used.
3. Personal information we may collect
- Identity and business contact information, such as name, job title, organisation, business address, telephone number, email address and professional profile information.
- Enquiry and relationship information, such as contact-form content, meeting notes, correspondence, proposals, quotations, contracts, project records, feedback and service history.
- Financial and transaction information, such as billing contacts, invoices, payment status and transaction records. We do not normally store full payment-card details where a specialist payment provider handles them.
- Website and technical information, such as IP address, device and browser information, operating system, referral source, pages viewed, timestamps, website interactions and cookie, analytics or advertising identifiers where applicable.
- Marketing and preference information, such as marketing preferences, engagement with communications, service interests, objections and suppression records.
- Business prospect information obtained from lawful public or business sources, such as company websites, professional networking platforms, public directories, events, referrals and business data providers.
- Client-controlled information that we access when delivering services, such as CRM records, lead data, customer or prospect information, advertising audiences, website data, analytics information and marketing-platform records.
- Recruitment information, where applicable, such as CVs, work history, contact details and interview notes.
4. Special-category and criminal-offence information
Our ordinary services are not designed to collect special-category personal information or criminal-offence information. Please do not provide this type of information unless it is genuinely necessary and has been specifically agreed with us. Where such processing is required, we will identify an appropriate legal condition and safeguards.
5. Where information comes from
- directly from you;
- your employer or organisation;
- our website and forms;
- meetings, calls and correspondence;
- referrals and introductions;
- public business sources and professional networking platforms;
- analytics, advertising and website technologies;
- service providers acting on our behalf; and
- our clients, where they give us access to data for delivery of services.
6. How and why we use personal information
| Purpose | What we do | Typical legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiries and proposals | Respond to enquiries, arrange meetings, understand requirements and prepare proposals. | Steps before a contract; legitimate interests. |
| Client services | Manage relationships, deliver services, administer projects, communicate and report. | Contract; legitimate interests. |
| Billing and records | Invoice, receive payments, maintain financial and business records and comply with tax/accounting duties. | Contract; legal obligation; legitimate interests. |
| Website operation | Operate, secure and troubleshoot our website and systems. | Legitimate interests; legal obligation where applicable. |
| Analytics and improvement | Understand use of our site and services and improve content, journeys and performance. | Consent, legitimate interests and/or an applicable storage/access exception, depending on the technology and purpose. |
| Direct marketing | Send relevant B2B marketing about our services and insights where permitted. | Consent or legitimate interests, together with PECR compliance where applicable. |
| B2B prospecting | Identify and contact relevant decision-makers at organisations that may benefit from our services. | Legitimate interests where appropriate and PECR compliance where applicable. |
| Security and legal rights | Prevent misuse, manage security, investigate incidents, recover debts and establish or defend legal claims. | Legitimate interests; legal obligation. |
| Recruitment | Assess applications and communicate with candidates where applicable. | Steps before a contract; legitimate interests; legal obligation where applicable. |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the purpose, necessity and impact on individuals before relying on that basis. Where consent is required, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
7. Direct marketing
We may send relevant business marketing to existing clients, prospective clients and professional contacts where permitted by law. The rules can differ depending on the communication method and whether the recipient is a corporate subscriber, sole trader, partnership or individual.
You have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing. You can unsubscribe using the link in an electronic marketing message or contact us at our website contact form.
If you opt out, we may retain limited suppression information so that we can respect your preference and avoid contacting you again for marketing.
8. B2B prospecting and information obtained indirectly
Where permitted, we may use professional contact information from public sources, professional platforms, referrals or reputable business data providers to identify relevant organisations and business contacts. We do not treat publicly available personal information as automatically free to use.
Where required, we provide privacy information within the applicable period and respect objections and opt-outs.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
At launch, this website does not use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security and delivery technologies, and external services are contacted only where needed to display the site or process a form you choose to submit.
See the Cookie Policy below for the technologies currently used.
10. When we process personal data for clients
Some services may involve processing personal information on a client’s behalf, for example CRM administration, lead management, email marketing, conversion tracking, audience management, website operations, analytics implementation or marketing automation.
Where the client determines the purposes and essential means of that processing and we act only on documented instructions, the client is normally controller and we are processor. Those arrangements are governed by our Data Processing Schedule or another written data-processing agreement.
11. Who we share information with
Where necessary and lawful, we may share personal information with:
- cloud hosting and infrastructure providers;
- email, communications and collaboration providers;
- CRM and project-management providers;
- analytics, advertising and marketing platforms;
- website, hosting, domain, form and scheduling providers;
- accounting, payment and finance providers;
- professional advisers, insurers and auditors;
- authorised employees, contractors and specialist subcontractors;
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or public authorities where required; and
- prospective purchasers and their advisers in connection with a genuine sale, merger, investment or restructuring.
Where a supplier acts as our processor, we require appropriate contractual and security protections. We do not sell personal information as a commodity.
Website form submissions are currently processed through FormSubmit so that enquiries, visibility-check requests and specialist introductions can be forwarded to our business inbox. FormSubmit states that submission records may be retained for up to 30 days.
12. International transfers
Some suppliers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, we use an appropriate legal mechanism, which may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard.
13. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, tax, accounting, contractual, security and dispute-resolution requirements. Our normal starting points are:
- client, contract and accounting records: generally up to six years after the relevant relationship or transaction ends, unless a longer period is justified;
- unsuccessful enquiries and prospective-client records: generally up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless there is a reason to retain them longer;
- marketing records: while we have an appropriate reason to market, with limited suppression information retained as necessary to honour opt-outs;
- website analytics and storage/access information: according to the periods shown in the Cookie Policy and relevant platform settings; and
- job-application records: normally six months after the recruitment process ends unless a longer period is agreed or legally required.
Actual periods may vary where necessary because of a dispute, legal obligation, investigation, security issue or other justified reason.
14. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information; restrict processing; object to processing; receive certain information in a portable format; withdraw consent; and challenge certain solely automated decisions. These rights are not absolute in every situation.
To exercise a right, contact our website contact form. We may need to verify identity before completing a request.
15. Automated decision-making
We do not ordinarily make decisions about individuals based solely on automated processing where the decision produces legal or similarly significant effects. If this changes for a particular activity, we will provide the information required by law.
16. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature and risk of the information we handle. Measures may include access controls, multi-factor authentication, secure cloud services, encryption where appropriate, device security, backups, confidentiality obligations, security updates and incident-response procedures. No internet or information-security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
17. Data-protection complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, contact us at our website contact form or 4th Floor, 18 St. Cross Street, London, EC1N 8UN. We provide a clear route for data-protection complaints, will acknowledge a complaint within 30 days of receipt, will investigate it without undue delay, will keep the complainant appropriately informed and will communicate the outcome without undue delay.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Website: https://ico.org.uk/.
18. Children
Our website and services are principally intended for businesses and business professionals and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through our ordinary business activities.
19. Third-party websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices. Please review the relevant third party’s privacy information before providing personal information.

This Cookie Policy explains how Build ALONG The Way, trading as VJ Digital Growth Partner, uses cookies and similar storage and access technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.
References to “cookies” in this policy include, where appropriate, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, link decoration, fingerprinting and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a user’s device.
2. Categories of technologies we may use
2.1 Strictly necessary / requested-service technologies
These may be used where necessary to transmit a communication or provide a service or function that you have requested. Examples can include security, load balancing, session management and storing your privacy choices. Where the law permits these technologies without consent, they may be active by default.
2.2 Statistical technologies
We may use technologies to collect statistical information about how our website or service is used so that we can improve it. Where the applicable legal exception is used, we will only rely on it where the sole purpose and other legal conditions are met, including appropriate aggregation, limited retention of individual-level information and a simple, free means of objecting. If those conditions are not met, we will obtain consent where required.
2.3 Appearance and functionality technologies
These may remember choices or adapt how the website appears or functions in line with a user’s preference. Where an exception is relied on, we will provide the information and objection mechanism required by law. Otherwise, consent will be obtained where required.
2.4 Advertising and marketing technologies
These may be used to measure campaigns, record conversions, build or measure audiences, limit repeated advertising, understand interactions with advertising, support remarketing or deliver targeted advertising. Where consent is required, these technologies will not be activated until valid consent has been obtained.
3. Your choices
No optional analytics or advertising technologies are configured on this website at launch, so a consent banner is not currently required for those technologies. If optional technologies are added later, we will update this policy and introduce the appropriate controls before activating them where consent is required.

Some storage and access technologies may be supplied by third parties. Those providers may receive information from the device and may process it under their own terms and privacy notices. Where consent is required for a third-party technology, we will not intentionally activate it before the required consent is obtained.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, suppliers, consent approach or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page.
